Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies
(a) Each lift shall be installed in accordance with the provisions of ASME A18.1-2003, Safety Standard for Platform and Stairway Chairlifts.
(b) Each limited use, limited access elevator shall be installed in accordance with the provisions of section 5.2 OF ASME A17.1-2004, Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators.
(c) The ASME codes are available from The American Society of Mechanical Engineers, 3 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10016-5990.
