Sec. 27-102l(d)-181. Off-limits and restricted areas

(a) A veteran is strictly forbidden to go into the following "Off-Limits" and "Restricted Areas," except when the veteran is performing official duties or receiving treatment. These areas include:

(1) State Record Center, West Street, Rocky Hill, Connecticut;

(2) State Highway Testing Laboratory, West Street, Rocky Hill, Connecticut;

(3) East, West and North of roadway in rear of Health Care Facility building;

(4) All staff residences and staff dormitories;

(5) Clinic areas, kitchens, laundry, pharmacy, pump house, water towers, and power house;

(6) Private property adjacent to the Home grounds;

(7) The area surrounding any building where a fire alarm has sounded or as directed by emergency personnel;

(8) Any area determined by the Commissioner or designee, to be "Off-Limits" or a "Restricted Area."

(b) In an emergency, the Director of Safety and Security may post signs and erect, or cause to be erected, such barriers as necessary to ensure the safety and health of any veteran.

(1) The Director of Safety and Security shall cause such restriction to be immediately removed after the danger has ceased, or

(2) The Director of Safety and Security may apply to the Commissioner to certify that such precautions should continue as provided in Section 27-102l(d)-151 of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies.
