Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies
(a) Each Veteran Handbook shall include:
(1) Rules of conduct necessary to ensure order and veteran safety,
(2) Conduct expressly regulated or prohibited as detailed in the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies,
(3) Notice of:
(A) Inspection of motor vehicles, packages and containers,
(B) Inspection of lockers, and
(C) Urine substance abuse testing.
(4) Disciplinary procedures to be used as detailed in this section, and
(5) Right to a desk review, informal conference, or a formal hearing as set forth in the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies.
(b) If the Commissioner prepares a summary of the Veteran Handbook for use in the admission process, the summary shall include such rules and regulations, including billing procedures, as the Commissioner determines are necessary to inform the admitted veteran of his rights and responsibilities while in residence at the Home.
(c) Additional copies of the Veteran Handbook shall be given to the veteran or personal representatives upon request and no fee shall be charged. If the veteran or representative has requested more than two (2) copies of the most recent edition, a fee may be charged.
(d) All veterans shall familiarize themselves and ensure that their conduct is in compliance with the rules and regulations of the facility and as outlined in the Veteran Handbook.
