About Emergency Regulations: Emergency regulations are adopted to address urgent circumstances. They are effective temporarily and are not published in the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies. Emergency regulations become effective when they are posted to the eRegulations System.

Effective Period and Renewals: Emergency Regulations are effective for 180 days or less. Certain Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) regulations can be renewed for one additional 60-day period with approval from the Legislative Regulation Review Committee.

Effective Status: Emergency regulations listed on this page with a status of "Final Approved" are considered to be in effect. However, please be aware that emergency regulations can be rendered ineffective by judicial action or when replaced by a permanent regulation. Therefore, please contact the adopting agency with any questions about whether a specific emergency regulation is currently in effect.

Emergency Regulations prior to 3/23/2015: Emergency regulations adopted on or after July 1, 2013 but before March 23, 2015 can be found on the Emergency Regulations (2013-2015) page.
